As a professional athlete, I am privileged to travel to so many amazing places across the globe. Whilst we don’t always get the chance to explore all that the cities and destinations have to offer, whenever that opportunity does arise, I love to capture those rare moments and turn them into long lasting memories through my photography.
Sydney is home for me and Bondi Beach is an iconic attraction on its map. Spending two thirds of the year overseas for the past 5 years, has given me a huge appreciation for Australia and Bondi is one of my favourite places in the world.
In 2017 I made a pitstop to Oahu, Hawaii, on the way home from Orlando, with my best mate. We hired a Jeep, drove around the island and found this jumping rock. I immediately afterwards HAD to try a backflip of my own and lived to tell the tale.
I found this beautiful sunflower and quote padlocked to the fence at the top of the stairs leading to the bogey hole. It reads “Always face the sun” which puts the darkness and shadows behind you.
